There's so many cool things we can't wait to do in Chicago - it's hard to believe how much life is about to change! I already know where I will be each Saturday until October 26th, at the Division Street Farmer's Market: As one of Chicago's many outdoor Farmers Markets, this event takes place weekly until the end of the summer and features some of the Midwest's best fresh produce including flowers, fruit and vegetables. Drew and I strolled through there when we were visiting neighborhood's earlier this month, and I thought Florida had amazing produce! The selection and variety were awesome, and I'm all about a great farmer's market!

Getting ready to go with the wind

This time next week we'll be on the road to Chicago - the Windy City...it feels like we're on our way down the yellow brick road! The house is starting to fill up with boxes, and Sam and Meowka (our furry partners in crime) are finding all sorts of new hiding places and small spaces to explore! I hope they get it in while they can, because going from a three bedroom house with a two car garage and deck to a 1000 square feet one bedroom one bath condo is going to be hard to all four of us!

We are so excited for the adventure though! Moving to Chicago has been a dream of ours since we first visited because I had a work conference there in 2008 - and we both said back then how nice it would to be to live in the city. Of course neither of us have been there in the winter, or ever lived in an area that has much of a winter - but I suppose for us that's part of the adventure! And, we're glad our apartment comes with heat included :)

I've wanted to start a blog for a long time, but never had much to say about Fort Myers - now we want to share this adventure with everyone we love and will miss seeing more often than we do now. E, my friend and co-worker suggested the blog and the name of it - thank you for the push! This way we keep track of the twists and turns this new road takes us on - we hope you'll follow along, and come visit once in a while :) (There's a sleeper sofa with your name on it!)
