Fun Day

We deemed yesterday a "fun day" meaning no assembling or purchasing furniture, no hanging pictures,   no cooking - and instead "played hooky" from all those chores that now wait us today. We went to the Lincoln Park Zoo - which we can see parts of from our balcony, then went back to the Farmer's Market, because it turns out they're there Wednesday and Saturday! So we stocked up on some cooking supplies, and had grilled cheese sandwiches homemade at the market in the park. Round that off with a trip to the pool on the 44th floor, and we did have to go out an get new work clothes for Drew - so that took up the rest of the afternoon. We finished up at a neighborhood pub, and they had trivia going on - and great food. We're definitely finding our way around a bit, and feeling completely comfortable in walking in our area. I tried to take the cats with us yesterday in the stroller, but I think they've gotten wise to me, because when they saw me pull it out - they ran - so I'm not sure it's a winner...

On today's agenda is Drew doing a practice run to his new job - he's meeting someone for breakfast there at 8am, and it's about 30 minutes from our house on a good day with no traffic, and could be up to an hour away on a not so good day. After that is finishing up all of the assembling and hanging photos - and hopefully be done with that part of the move. We're hoping to make it to the beach this afternoon, as tomorrow's high is supposed to drop from in the 90's to 65! We're also going to see Kevin James tonight at the Chicago Theater.

Here's some photos from our day yesterday:

I cannot believe how much mid-westerners love Tater Tots! I haven't seen any in 12 years since high school ended!
